Paul Detherage

Paul George Detherage, 79, of Louisburg, Kansas passed away on Monday July 7, 2014 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Paul was born at home in Lebanon, Missouri on September 2, 1934 to Herman and Jessie Detherage. He moved to Kansas City and began work at Continental Baking Company at the age of 18 and worked for the same company until his retirement. Paul married Donna Hignight on March 16, 1956 and they had fifty eight beautiful, loving years together. Paul is survived by his wife, Donna, children Paul & Lana Detherage, Jr.of Atchison, KS, Randy and Robin Detherage of Gravois Mills, MO, Cathy Detherage of Louisburg, and Lisa and Kenny Gamble of Kansas City, MO. The pride of Paul"s life was his five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, one, Taylor, who was part of his heavenly welcome. Paul had four half-brothers and twelve siblings, many nieces and nephews who also loved Uncle Paul. Paul loved the outdoors, camping and fishing, but most of all he loved any time spent with family. He will be missed greatly by his family and the many friends he touched throughout his life.
