Norman E. Rankin

Norman Rankin, age 66, of Louisburg, KS, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 20, 2023, at Olathe Hospice House.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Dengel & Son Mortuary - Louisburg, 1 Aquatic Drive, Louisburg, KS, 66053. Graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm at Miami Memorial Gardens in Paola, KS.

Norman was born October 24, 1956, at Miami County Hospital. He was the son of Clarence and Opal Rankin. Norman was the youngest of six children.

He enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals, NASCAR racing, and professional golf.

After graduating high school, he worked at Indian Hills Golf Course. Later he worked at Rabbit Creek Golf Course where he performed maintenance on the machinery and was also the groundskeeper.

Survivors include one sister; Barbara Macoubrie, two brothers; Don (Nancy) Rankin and Danny Rankin, two sister-in-laws; Betty and Janie Rankin, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Norman is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; Clifford and Charlie Rankin.
