Nathalee J. “Nae” Tucker, 86, of Ottawa, Kansas died Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Ottawa Retirement Village. Funeral services will be held at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 7, 2013. Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Tucker at Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00 P.M. Friday, to the service hour where the family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday. Interment Highland Cemetery, Ottawa Nathalee was born on Wednesday, November 24, 1926 in Ottawa. She was the daughter of Merrill and Minnie (Shawver) Bliss. A lifelong Franklin county resident, Nathalee lived in Ottawa since 1960 moving from Princeton. She graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1944. On May 4, 1956 Nathalee was united in marriage with Harry Milton Tucker in Williamsburg, Kansas. He preceded her in death on October 9, 2005. Survivors include her two sons, Joe Tucker and wife Linda, and Jay Tucker and wife Kim, all of Ottawa; six grandchildren, Aaron Nichols and wife Lindsay, Jessica Callaghan and husband Brett, Amanda Brown and husband Drew, Corey Tucker, Katie Wilkerson, and Chris Hunziker; four great grandchildren, Austin and Lane Wilkerson, William Callaghan, and Tucker Brown; and sister, Shirley Barnes of Ottawa. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Lyle and Warren Bliss; sister, Marjorie Shoemaker. Nathalee was a devoted homemaker. She worked during the 1950’s as an operator for Southwestern Bell. She was a member of the North Baptist Church in Ottawa. The family suggests memorial contributions to North Baptist Church or as a recipient of blood on numerous occasions Mrs. Tucker would like to encourage friends to give blood in her memory c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
