Nancy Ann (Milward) Turley, 80, passed away on October 23, 2023, at Medicalodges in Fort Scott, Kansas.
She was born on June 29, 1943, in Joplin, Missouri to James and Dorothy (Turtine) Milward. She was the oldest of two children.
Nancy attended school in Rantoul, Kansas and graduated from Paola High School in the class of 1961.
While attending her 54th high school reunion, Nancy reconnected with classmate Laverl Turley. She and Laverl were united in marriage on October 3, 2015, in Las Vegas, NV. Upon their marriage, Nancy gained three children: Michelle, Christine, and Timothy. They made their home in Santa Maria, CA until 2018 when they moved to Ft. Scott, KS to be closer to family.
During her high school years, Nancy worked at the telephone office in Rantoul, KS. She worked many years at First National Bank of Osawatomie and the Miami County Courthouse in Paola. For 20 years prior to retirement, Nancy was an at-home data processor for Cookbook Publishers, Lenexa, KS.
Nancy enjoyed gardening and always took pride in her yard and flowers. She loved her family and spending time with them as well as traveling and sightseeing across the country with her husband.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Laverl Turley, of the home; sister, Linda Puckett (Douglas), of Olathe, KS; children: Melissa Goudie (Jesse Cole) of Columbia, MO, Scott Goudie (Julie) of Acton, MA, Michelle Brazda (Jay) of Timkin, KS, Christine Wiss (Brian) of Derby, KS and Timothy Turley (Jasmine) of Pheonix, AZ; grandchildren: Nathan Boone (Jill), Grant Goudie, Kellen Goudie, Rhys Goudie, Daniel Lopez, Emmaletta Kelly, Toshiko Kelly, Katherine Findley, and Sara Shafer; 27 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; along with other family and friends.
Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association.
