Michelle Morrissey, 29, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Sunday, June 9, 2013. Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be held at Community Foursquare Church, 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 24, 2013. Family will meet with friends following the Memorial service. Inurnment Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. Michelle was born on Wednesday, July 20, 1983 in Shawnee, Kansas. She was the daughter of Michael R. and Kathy (Shaw) Morrissey, Sr. Michelle was a lifelong Ottawa resident. She attended Ottawa High School with the class of 2002. Survivors include her common-law husband, Jeremy Ward of Ottawa; three children, Destiny, Alexz and Angel Ward; mother, Kathy Gumm and husband Virgil of Ottawa; father, Michael Morrissey, Sr. of Amarillo, Texas; brother, Donald Morrissey of Nebraska, sister, Angela Boileau of Ottawa, brother, Michael R. Morrissey II of Ottawa, brother, Christopher Thomas of Ottawa; maternal grandmother, Karon Tullo of Bella Vista, Arkansas; three step-sisters, Michelle, Anita and Jessica Gumm and step-brother, Michael Gumm all of Topeka; many nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles.
