Michael F. Allis

Michael F. Allis, 70, of Ottawa, passed away Monday, January 2, 2023, at Richmond Healthcare, Richmond, Kansas.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 11, 2023, Greenwood Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. The Allis family requests that all attendees wear jeans and Kansas City Chiefs attire.

Family will greet friends from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M., Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa.

Mike was born September 11, 1952, at Ottawa, Kansas, the son of Donald F and Arlene M. (Sturm) Allis.

He was a lifelong Ottawa resident.

Mike graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1970 and later attended Kansas State University.

He was united in marriage to Jeannie A. Imel April 22, 1977, in Ottawa. She survives of the home.

Mike was a journeyman electrician for over 35 years, retiring in 2002, working at the Desoto Power Plant for several years.

He was a member of the Ottawa Men’s Bowling Association and Aerie Lodge 2700 Fraternal Order of Eagles of Ottawa.

Mike’s hobbies included raising roosters, bowling, playing pool, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed watching Kansas City Chiefs football and consuming his favorite beverage Coors Light beer. Most of all Mike liked spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Jeannie, daughter, Tabitha A. Allis and son, Donnie M. Allis both of Ottawa; sister, Charlotte Newkirk of Ottawa; stepsister, Janice Davault of Apache Junction, Arizona; mother-in-law, Anna May Hendrickson of Ottawa; grandchildren, Phoenix K. Allis and Troy M. Allis both of Ottawa; aunt, Becky Chrisman of Loveland, Colorado; cousins, Mary Aschenbrenner, Larry Chrisman both of Loveland, Colorado and Julie Bath of Missouri.
