Maxine Gertrude Hildebrandt

Maxine G. Hildebrandt was born on Sunday, March 22, 1936, in Scipio, Kansas. She was the daughter of Albert and Barbara (Kipper) Nilges. Maxine grew up in Richmond, Kansas, until moving to the Ottawa area in Franklin County in 1954, where she made her home until her death on Tuesday, January 22, 2008, at the age of seventy-one years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Alter Society in Ottawa. Maxine was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother, and she truly enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog, Lady. She loved cooking, crocheting, camping, sewing, and spending time outdoors. On May 25, 1954 Maxine was united in marriage with Leroy Hildebrandt at Ottawa. He survives of their home. She is also survived by two daughters, Vickie Green and her husband, Charles of Ottawa, Kansas and Cynthia Sayler and her husband, Jerry, of Princeton, Kansas; two sons, Leroy J. Hildebrandt and his wife, Patricia, of Ottawa, Kansas and Curtis Hildebrandt of Ottawa, Kansas; two brothers, Alfred Nilges and his wife, Laura, of Richmond, Kansas, and Clyde Nilges and his wife, Audry, of Blue Springs, Missouri; a sister, Blanch Henderson, of Garnett, Kansas; a sister-in-law, Joan Nilges of Kansas City, Kansas; seventeen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Elmer Nilges; a granddaughter, Deidre Sayler, and a great grandson, Tray Frye. SERVICES: A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ottawa. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Fr. Tod Ziegler IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Hildebrandt after 9:00 a.m. Friday at Dengel & Son Mortuary, where a Rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. Friday followed by a family visitation at 7:00. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery in Ottawa. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to Franklin County Cancer Foundation or to the Maxine Hildebrandt Memorial Fund c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
