Marvin Leroy Mays

Marvin LeRoy Mays age 85 of Shawnee passed away August 16, 2023 at the Kansas City Hospice House. He was born on December 29, 1937 in Kenneth Kansas to Ethel Fern Hanson Mays and John LeRoy Mays. After high school Marvin joined the United States Army in 1960 and was honorably discharged in January 31,. 1964.

Marvin was united in marriage on June 28, 1959 in Hillsdale Kansas to Shirley Jean Guge. He was employed as an accountant for the Gas Service Company for many years before retiring. They have lived in the area all of their married life.

Surviving Marvin is his wife Shirley of the home. He will be dearly missed by neighbors and friends.

Graveside services will be Monday August 21, 2023, 11am at the Hillsdale Cemetery, Hillsdale Kansas.
