Martha Sue Wilson, 83, of Richmond, Kansas, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017, at Richmond Healthcare & Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 31, 2017, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Family will meet with friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M., Sunday, July 30, 2017, at the mortuary. Interment Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Kansas. Sue was born Thursday, November 2, 1933 in Vinita, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jesse and Nettie Mae (Bower) Turner. She grew up in West Memphis, Arkansas and Memphis, Tennessee and was a resident of Richmond since 1953. She attended Hubert Elementary School through the fifth grade and attended high school in Memphis, Tennessee. Martha was united in marriage with Henry L. "H.L." Wilson June 24, 1953, in Richmond, Kansas. He preceded her in death on December 25, 2014. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Jesse and Nettie Turner; two brothers, Sidney Lenard Turner and Jesse J. Turner; sister, Julia Stimpson; and two brothers-in-law, Sam Stimpson and Max A. Wilson. She is survived by son, Rex Wilson and wife Sheila of Richmond; grandchildren, Tanya Turner and husband Chris, Tasha Collins, Tina Sue Nelson and husband J. J., and Tony Joe Wilson and fiancé, Mackenzie Foght; great-grandchildren, Connor and Lawson Medlen, Thomas and Tyson Collins, and Micah and Mia Nelson; and brothers-in-law, Robert W. Wilson and wife Naomi, and Lafe Wilson and wife Linda. Sue was a devoted homemaker. She was also employed six years for Pence IGA in Ottawa and Garnett, twenty-one years at Parmelee Products, one year at the SRS office, and five years for Resource Center for Independent Living (RCIL). She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Richmond. Sue was a hard worker and always liked to keep busy. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading, flowers and traveling with her husband in their RV.
