Margie A. Keith, 90, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Rock Creek of Ottawa.
A private inurnment will be held later.
Margie was born January 30, 1932, in La Junta, Colorado, the daughter of John Alan and Rita Gail (Thomas) Kimbell.
She earned a GED in her 60’s to prove to young people that education is possible at any age.
On April 30, 1948, Margie was united in marriage to Carl Eisenhower in Abilene, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 21, 1991. Margie married Roger Keith on March 1, 2001, in Ottawa, he survives of the home.
Margie was a devoted stay-at-home mom and worked as a Jefferson County, Kansas dispatcher, matron, cook, and was secretary to the district clerk. She also worked for Green Peace in Great Bend, Kansas, and was the Director of Services for a nursing facility in western Kansas.
She attended the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rita Kimbell; first husband Carl Eisenhower; infant daughter Marsha Gyn Eisenhower; and three siblings, Aaron Kimbell, Alice Babcock, and John Kimbell.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Eisenhower of Ottawa, Terry Elston (Bill) of Pomona, Tanya Camp of Ottawa, and stepdaughter Ginger Acker; two siblings, Carol Amen of Scotts Bluff, Nebraska, and Nancy Scott of Woodard, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren, Zachary, Spencer, Ryan, Lesa, Eric, Carla, Kenneth, Travis, Daniel, Elizabeth, Michael, Denna, Kacee, and Carlee; eighteen great grandchildren, Cherryl, Kyle, Morgan, Katana, Lillian, Scarlett, Nagi, Travis, Allee, Aurora, Elias, Kaelyn, Kylee, Charlie, Keziah, Corbin, Kennedy, and Nicholas; and three great-great-grandchildren.
