Lynn Alan Frankenfield, 73, of Spring Hill, Kansas, passed away on November 20, 2023, peacefully in his home.
Family will meet with friends at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Paola Chapel. Service starting at 2:00 p.m. and burial at Paola Cemetery, Paola, Kansas.
He was born on March 18, 1950, to Millard and Lillian (VanZyl) Frankenfield in Van Nuys, California. He was the middle child of six children.
Lynn became a life long resident of Kansas after moving there with his family in 1955.
On June 22, 1972, he married Opal Muncy where they remained united in marriage for 51 wonderful years. To this union they added two beautiful daughters, Michelle and Peggy.
Lynn was an avid outdoorsman. On any given day, you would find him outside tinkering in his shop, in his garden, or playing with his grandchildren. If he left us with a list of chores to do, the top of that list would be to feed his catfish.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Nancy Roberts; brother, James Frankenfield; sister-in-law, Barbara Frankenfield and grandson, Timothy Cartwright.
Lynn is survived by his loving wife, Opal; brothers, Charles Frankenfield and Jeff Frankenfield(Kathy); sister, Peggy Ammerman (Doug); sister-in-law, Ronda Frankenfield; daughters Michelle Hellwig (Ed) and Peggy Reiter (Leon); grandchildren Shauna, Jolie, and Audra Cartwright, Lucas, Nathan, and Lillian Reiter, and Lucy and Bill Hellwig, many nieces and nephews who are very dear to him...and please don't forget his faithful dog, Moose.
