Luther S. Koch, 51, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Olathe Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Inurnment Highland Cemetery, Ottawa. Luther was born June 8, 1970, in Ottawa, the son of Clarence Walter and Betty Louise (Gorton) Koch. He was a lifelong Ottawa resident and attended Ottawa schools. Luther was known for walking the streets of Ottawa, always giving a wave and friendly smile. He enjoyed visiting people downtown and at the Ottawa Fire Department and watching the helicopters land and take off at AdventHealth. He enjoyed listening to and singing along with his favorite country songs. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Carol Koch and Katherine Hill. Survivors include two siblings, Oren Koch of Ottawa and Marilyn Gragg (Dennis) also of Ottawa; and several nieces and nephews.
