Luke L. Rea, 21, of Ottawa, died Friday, April 27, 2018. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, May 4, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church. Family will meet with friends immediately following the service. Private family inurnment to be held later at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa. Luke was born December 1, 1996, in Lawrence, Kansas, the son of Jason Rea and Valorie (Hurlock) Stewart. He was a lifelong Ottawa resident. He graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 2015. Survivors include his father, Jason Rea of Ottawa; mother, Valorie Stewart and husband Kenny of Kincaid; fiancée, Minnie Leatherberry of Ottawa; son, Aydan Rea of Ottawa; sister, Kristen Rea of Ottawa; paternal grandfather, John Rea and wife Lorna of Ottawa; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Cline of Ottawa; maternal grandmother, Lillian Miller of Garnett; and dog, Zeus. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Eledta Martin; and aunt, Wendy Butler. Luke was a concrete mason at Rocker’s Concrete for approximately 4 years. He loved video games and being outdoors chopping wood, shooting, and fishing. Luke was a loving, doting father.
