Linda Jean Wilkerson

Linda Jean Wilkerson, age 78, of Louisburg, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, November 23,

2023, at her home surrounded by family.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Faith Chapel Assembly of

God Church, 840 N Metcalf Rd, Louisburg, Kansas 66053. Funeral service will be held at 2:00

pm, also at the church. Burial will follow at the Louisburg Cemetery.

Linda was born on Thursday, October 18, 1945 in Bremerton, Washington. She was the daughter of Lawrence and Georgia (Hills) Thornton.

Linda married Larry Wilkerson of Independence, Kansas, on September 21, 1964, and together they had four children, David, Dennis, Jean and Joy.

Linda loved reading, doing puzzles and visiting zoos. She enjoyed people and making them smile. Her main joy was studying and sharing the bible with anyone which included teaching bible studies outside the church. She enjoyed researching different theologies and comparing them to her faith in Christ Jesus. Her faith was her passion.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Wilkerson, parents, Lawrence and Georgia

Thornton, and one sister, Julie Jackson.

Survivors include four children, David (Dena) Wilkerson, of Eudora, Kansas, Dennis Wilkerson,

of Louisburg, Kansas, Jean Young, of Toccoa, Georgia, and Joy (Vincent) King, of Pleasant

View, Tennessee, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one brother, Dennis (Ellen)

Thornton, and brother-in-law, Paul Jackson, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended

family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made payable to Crossroads
