Judy Kay Hull

Judy Kay Hull, 75, of Pomona, Kansas, passed away peacefully at her home with loved ones by her side on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 14, 2023, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, Kansas.

Judy Kay (Flager) Hull was born to Floyd M. and Forna P. (Rosenbaum) Flager March 5, 1948, in Ottawa, Kansas. She was a lifelong resident of Pomona, graduating from Pomona High School with the class of 1966. Judy also attended and graduated from cosmetology school in Topeka.

She always preferred to go by Judy, saying that “Judith” was a name for a prissy old lady. On June 17, 1972, she was joined in marriage with Arville Leonard Hull. Together they built a life they loved. They had two children, Ashley and Bryan.

Judy was quick to smile and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, bantering with her husband, spending time with family, and sitting out on the deck. She liked drinking coffee, fishing, and going to the casino. Judy loved working as a hairdresser, especially at ORV where she had Judy’s Cut and Curl for about twenty years. More than anything, Judy loved being a grandma. Her grandchildren meant the world to her, and she had a close relationship with each of them.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Forna; her husband, Arville; and her brother, Max Flager.

She is survived by her children, Ashley Hull-Williams, Pomona, and Bryan Hull and his wife, Brianne, Pomona; and her four grandchildren: Amiryah, Amari, Max, and Mozzie; her sisters-in-law, Jeannette Flager, Pomona, Deloris McKinley, Vilonia, Arkansas and Cindy Hull, Clearwater, Kansas; and her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom she loved so deeply.
