Juanita Fay Nutt

Juanita Fay Nutt, 78, of Ottawa, passed away with loved ones by her side on Monday, January 27, 2020. Family will meet with friends from 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M., Friday, January 31, 2020, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. A private family burial will be held later at Highland Cemetery. Juanita was born August 10, 1941, in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Harry and Lucille (Smith) Hayden. She was a lifelong Ottawa resident. She attended Eugene Field Elementary School in Ottawa and graduated from Williamsburg High School with the class of 1959. In 1962, Juanita was united in marriage to Marion “Peanut” Nutt in Ottawa. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1994. Juanita was employed at King Radio as an assembler; Parmelee Industries as a machine operator; Our Own Hardware in quality control from 1981 to 1998; Walmart Supercenter as a cashier and stocker from 1995 to 2010. She enjoyed going to the casino, fishing, camping and watching daytime television. Above all, Juanita loved spending time with her grandkids and her pet poodle, Pepper. She was also preceded in death by her parents; seven siblings, Francis Baker, Thelma Allen, Mary Hoffine, Gardner Hayden, Ralph Hayden, Margie Phares and Wilma Hayden; and stepson, Marion Nutt, Jr. Survivors include her children, Bob Nutt and wife Katie of Ottawa, John Nutt and wife Michele also of Ottawa, Tammy Brown of Topeka, Nancy Mills and husband Eddie of Burden, Kansas, Connie Webster and husband Clay of Star, Idaho, Linda Nutt of Winfield and Bonnie Tuer of Napa, California; sister, Lila Conner of Ottawa; seventeen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
