Juanita was born July 14, 1913 at Rexford, Kansas to William L. and Alma (Christie) Jackson. She grew up in Rexford and lived in San Francisco and Richmond, California for eleven years before moving to Ottawa in 1950, where she made her home until her death on Saturday, March 3, 2007. She graduated from Rexford High School in Rexford, Kansas with the class of 1932. Juanita was a homemaker and, for a time, worked at Willis Nursery. She worked several years at Osburn`s Greenhouse and, before retirement, worked in housekeeping at Ottawa University. Juanita was a member of Church of the Nazarene in Ottawa. On December 25, 1937, Juanita was united in marriage with Ewltia W. 'Shorty' Robinson at Rexford, Kansas. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1987. Juanita enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, taking care of her home and was a true caregiver. Especially important to her were her grandchildren and her faith. Also preceding her in death were her parents, daughter, Linda Miller, and her brothers, Clive Jackson, Arden Jackson and Wesley Jackson. She is survived by sons, Michael Robinson and his wife, Joanne, of Ottawa, and Larry Robinson and his wife, Beverly, of Gladwin, Michigan; son-in-law, Dennis Miller of Ottawa, ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. SERVICES: Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. IN STATE: Mrs. Robinson will lie in state from 9:00 AM Tuesday to service hour at Dengel & Son Mortuary , where the family will meet with friends 7:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening.
