Jimmie D. “Jim” Richardson, 88 of Topeka, Kansas, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Family will meet with friends 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Lowman United Methodist Church in Topeka, Kansas, which will be followed by funeral services at 11:00 A.M.
Interment will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Highland Cemetery in Ottawa, Kansas.
Jim was born on Friday, January 18, 1935, in Ottawa, Kansas. He was the son of Floyd and Letha (Long) Richardson.
He graduated from Ottawa High School in Ottawa, Kansas with the class of 1952; attended Kansas University from 1952 until 1953 and Ottawa University 1953 through 1954.
On March 22, 1969, Jim was united in marriage with Connie Haller at Topeka, Kansas. She survives of their home.
Jim worked thirty-four years for the State of Kansas Department of Labor, retiring on November 14, 1994.
He was a member of Lowman United Methodist Church in Topeka. He enjoyed woodworking and playing golf at the Lake Shawnee Golf Course.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Letha Richardson, daughter, Carla Layne and sister, Janet Keaton.
He is survived by his wife, Connie; daughter, Diane Eisenbarth (Dennis) of Topeka; sister, Patsy Crockett (Hank) of Topeka, Kansas; brother-in-law, George Keaton of Gardner, Kansas; grandsons, Mark Eisenbarth (Julie) and Brent Eisenbarth (Heather); and three great grandsons, Aydin, Rylan and Beckham of Topeka, Kansas.
