Janice Stallbaumer Jenkins

Janice Stallbaumer Jenkins, 82, of Paola, passed away on November 29, 2023 at Olathe Health Hospice House.

She was born on August 24, 1941 to Suitbert and Elizabeth (Hutfles) Stallbaumer in Corning, KS, where she graduated high school. She was the seventh of thirteen children born to her parents.

Janice was an amazing cook. Sunday dinners around a crowded table is a favorite family memory. Her love for cooking continued as she worked side by side with her family at Emery's Steakhouse. Janice was a fan of the KC Royals, Chiefs, and Nascar. She looked forward to daily afternoon chats with her best friend. Together they raised their children, became grandmothers, and great-grandmothers. Janice's family and her faith were most important to her.

Janice is survived by her loving children; son, Christopher (Vicki) Kemplay, daughter, Marsha (Jerry) Brandt, son, Kevin Kemplay, daughter, Cindy (Todd) Emery, and brother, John Stallbaumer. As well as 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Suitbert Stallbaumer, mother, Elizabeth Stallbaumber, daughter, Elaine Knecht, brothers; Ervan, Lester, Benedict "Butch", James, Michael, Terry, and Dan Stallbaumer, sisters; Mary Ann Grollmes, Lucille Eisenbarth, Barbara "Bobbie" Osterhaus, Peggy Osterhaus.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Olathe Hospice House c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary-Paola Chapel, 305 N. Pearl St., Paola, KS 66071.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 E Chippewa St., Paola, KS 66071, starting at 9:30 am. Rosary will be prayed at 10:15 am with the funeral mass beginning at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
