Hazel Marie Domnanish

Hazel Marie Domnanish, 93, of Olathe, Kansas, formerly of Ottawa, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017, at Olathe Medical Center. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, July 31, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ottawa. The rosary will be said at 5:30 P.M., Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Dengel & Son Mortuary with a visitation to follow at 6:00 P.M. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Ottawa. Hazel was born Sunday, March 16, 1924, in Agricola, Kansas, the daughter of Hubert and Amy (Livingston) Perry. She lived east of Princeton until retiring to Bella Vista, Arkansas in 1987, moving to Ottawa in 2005, and Olathe in 2009. She graduated from Princeton High School, Princeton, Kansas. Hazel was united in marriage to Eugene J. Domnanish October 23, 1944, at Scipio, Kansas. He preceded her in death December 23, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Dennis Domnanish; daughter, Carolyn Dahl; and two brothers, Albert Perry and Homer Perry. Survivors include her four children, Patricia Domnanish of Kansas City, Kansas, Rita Murphy of Shawnee, James Domnanish of Spring, Texas, and Terrance Domnanish and wife Maria of Paola; son-in-law, Merlin Dahl of Beulah, North Dakota; sister, Helen Linneman of Pomona; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Hazel was a devoted lifelong homemaker. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ottawa, and the Zig Zag Club, a sewing club in Princeton. Hazel enjoyed oil painting, pencil art, knitting and gardening. The family suggests memorial contributions to Sacred Heart Catholic Church c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
