Gloria A. Schulz

Gloria A. Schulz, 75, of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Saint Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. Family will meet with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Monday, October 8, 2018, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Private family inurnment Ruhamah Cemetery, Rantoul. Gloria was born February 10, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of John and Alta (Lacy) McDaniel. She lived in Rantoul from 1960 to 1964 moving to Ottawa where she lived from 1964 to 1995. In 1995, Gloria moved to Princeton where she made her home until her death. She attended Ottawa High School. Gloria was united in marriage to Roy E. Schulz September 18, 1959, in Junction City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 14, 2018. She was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Alta McDaniel; brother, John McDaniel, Jr. and sisters, Juanita Schulz and Cora “Snookie” McDaniel. Survivors include children, Juanita Worthington and husband Gary of Marshall, Texas, Ethel Ball and husband Marshall of Ottawa, and Roy Schulz, Jr. of Princeton; nine grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gloria was a devoted wife and mother. She was employed with Franklin Savings as a cashier. Gloria also worked as a sales clerk for JC Penney’s, Sears, Walmart and Briscoe Pharmacy, retiring in January 2010. She was a member of the Princeton United Methodist Church and Aerie Lodge 2700, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary of Ottawa. Gloria loved spending time with her great grandbabies, bowling with the Eagles Auxiliary, painting, making jewelry, and working in her flower gardens.
