George Vaughn Stratton

George Vaughan Stratton, 56, of Cassville, Missouri, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013.   Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be held at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 2, 2014.  Inurnment to follow at Highland Cemetery.    Family will meet with friends at 1:00 P.M. prior to service.   George was born on Monday, May 20, 1957 in San Bernardino, California, the son of Lloyd “Gabby” and Margarite “Peggy” (Wecker) Stratton.   He lived in Cassville for the last two years moving from Jay, Oklahoma.  Most of his life was spent in Escondido, California.   Survivors include his son, Joshua Stratton of Escondido; sister, JoAnna Lewis Crane and husband Lee of Ottawa; brother, Bud Stratton and wife Kay of Parker, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.   George was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jennifer Viero.   He worked for several commercial drywall construction companies from the1970’s to mid 2000’s.  He was a member of the Carpenters District Council Kansas City and Vicinity.   The family suggests memorial contributions to TPN, LLC and Insight, Inc.  c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
