Eureka Marie Ambler

Eureka Marie Ambler, 61, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at The University of Kansas Hospital.

Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Bethany Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Ottawa, Kansas.

Eureka was born Monday, January 15, 1962, in Iola, Kansas. She was the daughter of Homer Lane and Joyce Gelene Robinson,

Marie was a lifelong Ottawa resident, but lived in various cities throughout her beautiful journey.

Eureka attended Ottawa High School and supported her family as a production worker for over thirty years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Homer Lane and Joyce Gelene Robinson (Harvey); brother Homer Ambler; and uncle Jack Robinson.

Survivors include children Jerry Lee Robinson, Kim Raylene Munks, and Calvin O’Neal Taylor; grandchildren Jerrihaun and Khedive Robinson, Caliah Rayon Taylor, Trevaun O’Neal Taylor-Grey, Caliana Taylor, and Kalaum Taylor; brothers George Ambler, Mark Ambler, Dean Lane, and Richard Eugene White III; sister Harriett C. Lane Staffney; and sister-in-law Loriann Rowles; along with several nieces and nephews.

Marie loved to swim and was an avid synchronized swimmer alongside of Loriann in high school. “Aunt Ree” loved to finger pop while listening to music, she enjoyed dancing, playing spades and solitaire. A spiritual woman to say the least, a diamond in the rough that will continue to shine. Marie touched the hearts of so many and will always be remembered and never forgotten. Her smile, her laugh, and her straight forwardness will continue to embrace us all.
