Eletta "Marie" Jones

Eletta “Marie” Jones, age 85, of Louisburg, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Olathe Hospice House.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Faith Chapel Assembly of God Church, 840 N Metcalf Rd., Louisburg, Kansas 66053. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 am, also at the church. Interment will take place following the service at the Louisburg Cemetery.

Marie was born on Tuesday, August 24, 1937, in Cave City, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Basil and Audie (McLeod) Blevins. She met Arthur Jones and the two were married. From this union they had two sons, Doyle and Wes.

Marie loved to go to church on Sunday, and it was a big part in her life. She attended Faith Chapel Assembly of God Church in Louisburg. Marie regularly attended events at the Louisburg Senior Center, and rarely missed a game of bingo. She made the best pumpkin bread, and loved giving it to family around the holidays. Marie spoiled her Cocker Spaniel, Princess for 18 years. The most important thing in Marie’s life was her family. She loved spending time her kids and grandkids, and could never get enough time with them.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Jones, one son, Wes Jones, parents, Basil and Audie Blevins, and five siblings; Ora Lou, Flora Mae, Donald, Neva and Mack.

Marie is survived by her son, Doyle (Kim) Jones, grandchildren; David (Sheryl), Corey, Matthew (Autumn), and Josh Jones, Laura (Greg) Kelly, and Tiffany (Chris) Barnes, great grandchildren; Kylie (Bob) Farnen, Damion (Marquerite), Kanin and Dru Jones, Kaitlyn Reber, Collin, Donovan, McKenna and Rowan Kelly, Mercedes and Lily Green, and Jacob Barnes, great-great grandchildren; Wyatt and Amelia Farnen, Dayton and Jax Jones, two siblings, Betty Baldridge and Bill Blevins.
