Edith L. Hogle

Edith L. Hogle, age 79, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012. She was born February 17, 1933, in Pomona, Kansas, the daughter of Robert and Shirley (Heckman) Hogle. Edith graduated from East High School, Wichita, Kansas with the class of 1951 and Wesley Nursing School of Wichita, Kansas. Edith was a Doctor of Nursing and taught at many colleges, ending her teaching career at Mid-America Nazarene College, Olathe, Kansas. In addition to her work, Edith enjoyed traveling in her motor home. She enjoyed flowers, feeding birds and helping her loved ones. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy (Hogle) Clark and husband Robert of Wichita, Kansas; niece, Kelly and husband Chris Orloske of Wichita, Kansas; two great nieces, Amanda and Marissa, along with Asher, her dog and constant companion. She is preceded in death by her parents and longtime friend Helen Esther Kline who died in 2006. Cremation is planned. Graveside services and inurnment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2012, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, Kansas.
