Doris Jeannette Haselrick

Doris Jeannette Haselrick, age 92, of Gardner, Kansas, formerly of Paola, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Olathe Medical Center.

Doris was born January 19, 1931 at Bristol, CT, the daughter of Otto and Adela (Reynolds) Strecker. She graduated from Bristol, CT High School and then attended Connecticut Teachers' College. She graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics.

She was united in marriage to Edward Haselrick, Sr., on July 3, 1954 at Bristol, CT. They made their home in Connecticut until moving to Chicago in 1960. They moved to Independence, MO in 1966. They moved to their farm on the west side of Paola in 1967. In 2007, they moved to Gardner, Kansas.

They became the parents of three children Edward, Jr., Lori, and William.

Doris worked as a sales clerk for the Paola Coop and remained working there until retiring. Prior to that she worked at the Ursuline Academy Day Care Center.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Paola.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brothers Jon, Allen, and Donald Strecker.

She is survived by her children Edward "Rick" Haselrick, Jr. of Gardner, Lori Haselrick (Bob Cross) of Elkhart, IN, and William "Bill" Haselrick (Brooke) of Burleson, TX; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
