Donna Darlene Good

Donna Darlene Good, 91, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away to be with her Lord, Saturday, May 18, 2024, at her home.

Graveside services will be held 1:00pm., Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Atchison, Kansas.

Donna was born Friday, January 6, 1933, in Atchison, Kansas, the only child of Clifton & Blanche (Moeck) Davenport.

As a young child, the family moved from Atchison to a farm near Bellaire, Kansas. She attended Cora School, a one room school house in the rural area. They then moved into Lebanon, Kansas and she completed High School there graduating with the class of 1951.

After graduation, she married Glen Wade Haresnape and to this union four children were born.

Donna lived in Ottawa, Kansas for the last twenty years, moving there from Lyndon, Kansas. Previously she resided in Kansas City, Kansas for many years.

She worked as a private cook and housekeeper for many years.

Donna was a long-time member of the Church of God in Melvern, Kansas. She enjoyed shopping and going camping at the lake. Donna especially loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant son Johnie Wade Haresnape.

Survivors include son Rickie Dean Haresnape (Helen) of Ottawa, Kansas; daughter Debra Sue Thomsen of Burlington, Kansas; son David Wayne Haresnape of Edgerton, Kansas; two grandsons Michael Joseph Haresnape of Kansas City, Missouri and David Allen Haresnape (Misty) of Baldwin City, Kansas; and three great grandchildren David, Kyree, and Logan.
