Dixie Rozina Secrest

Dixie Rozina Secrest, 71, of Princeton, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018, at home with family by her side. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the Community Revival Center Church, 2749 Montana Road, Ottawa. Family will meet with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Interment Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Kansas. Dixie was born August 27, 1946 at Townsend, Georgia, the daughter of Rachel O’Berry. She was raised by her mother and grandfather, Aaron O’Berry. She grew up in Townsend, Georgia and spent her summers with her family in Middleburg, Florida. In 1970, Dixie moved to the Ottawa/Princeton area. She graduated from Darien High School, Darien, Georgia with the class of 1964. Dixie was married to Tommy Sink September 4, 1970 in Peoria, Kansas. They later divorced. Dixie was united in marriage to Danny Secrest March 6, 1996 in Princeton. He survives of the home. Other survivors include her four children, Dustin Sink and wife Amy of Ottawa, Cynthia Weidl and Travis Dryden of Ottawa, Mark Sink and wife Jami of Ottawa, and Shawn Secrest and wife Jayme of Garnett; sister, Annie Hunsaker of Ottawa; ten grandchildren, Morgan, Madelyn, Wyatt, Dalton, Dylan, Darby, Mark John, Abigale, Tyler and Cayden; brother-in-law, Glenn Secrest; sisters-in-law, Jean Zurrita, Joyce Jarmillo, Judy White and husband Ralph, and Debbie Phillips and husband Robert. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rachel O’Berry and brother, Bobby O’Berry. Dixie was a devoted homemaker and worked 20 years as a waitress with Country Kitchen/Old 56, retiring in 2008. Dixie enjoyed fishing, cooking, attending sporting events, swimming, camping, reading and walking.
