Dianne F. Haney, age 63, of Richmond, Kansas, passed away Friday, July 10, 2020, at the University of Kansas Health System. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 16, 2020, at Central Heights High School, 3521 Ellis Road, Richmond, Kansas. Family will meet with friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Interment Ruhamah Cemetery, Rantoul, Kansas. Dianne was born March 9, 1957, at Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of William and Arlene (Walsh) Couzens. She lived in the Pomona area, graduating from Pomona High School with the class of 1976. Dianne met Paul while working at H&R Block in Ottawa, where they were employed by her grandfather. They were united in marriage on June 4, 1977 at Ruhamah Baptist Church, Rantoul, Kansas, and moved to Richmond, Kansas, where they made their home and were happily married 43 years and had four children, David, Nathaniel, Joshua, and Jamie. She prepared taxes with H&R Block for 44 years. This included owning/operating the office in Osawatomie for approximately 15 years. The last 12 years Dianne prepared taxes in the Garnett office. Dianne was a faithful member of Ruhamah Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who loved being with her family. As the children married and grandchildren were born her whole life revolved around them. Dianne also enjoyed sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, Nathaniel Haney, and sister, Carol Levesque. Survivors include her husband Paul of the home; three children, David (Bridget) Haney of Kansas City, Missouri, Joshua (Sarah) Haney of Princeton, and Jamie (Jordan) Powell of Richmond; three sisters, Kathy (Jim) Lucero of Mayetta, Kansas, Margaret Bishop of Independence, Missouri, and Liz Couzens of Olathe, Kansas; stepmother, Cheryl Teitgen of Corinth, Mississippi; four step brothers and sisters, Steve (Lori) Weeks of Tucson, Arizona, Wes (Diane) Weeks of Shawnee, Kansas, Cindy (Jess) Madahar of Corinth, Mississippi, and Eric (Monica) Weeks of Greenwood, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Jones, Sam Haney, Ben Haney, Jo Sparks, William Haney, Ethan Haney, Alyssa Powell and Carson Powell; and many nieces and nephews.
