Dennis Michael Eads, 61, Ottawa, Kansas, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, December 24, 2020. There will be 2 services, due to COVID-19 and social distancing. Face masks are required in the church. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 9, 2021, at North Baptist Church, Ottawa. Dennis was born July 19, 1959 at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas to Gladys JoAnn (Roberts) & Louis C. Eads. His mother preceded him in death at the age of 33 in 1968 and his father in 2005. Dennis attended Ottawa High School. He grew up in Kansas City and then Burlington before they moved to Ottawa. Dennis worked several different places over the years as a full-service gas station attendant/manager, janitor, security guard, truck driver, taxi driver, and the last 26 years as an assembler at Kalmar Ottawa Truck. He married Teresa Lyn (Bettge) on July 12, 2003 in Ottawa, Kansas. She survives of the home. He is also survived by two sons, Kerry Jo and Caleb Eads, both of Maine, a stepson, Anthony Martinez, two daughters, Kiersten (Dakota Adamson) and Bianca (Kerry Kennedy), two stepdaughters, Jamee (Daniel) Engelby and Teree (James) Dowd, daughter-in-law, Desi, 12 grandsons and 11 granddaughters, as well as many others who are siblings of these grandchildren that he considered his as well, two great grandsons, and three fur babies, Melvin, Louis and his darling Daisy. Dennis is also survived by his stepmom Jacque Eads, sisters Vickey Crowley, Debra (Frank) Farquhar, Lisa (Curt) Chaney, Kimmy (David Hedreck) Cantrell, brother Danny (Anita) Eads, half-brother Jason Niccum, step sisters Lisa (Ben) Copeland, Rhonda (CJ) Crawley, Tracy Chambers, and Kathy (Wayne) Cumberland, former stepmom Billie Eads, sisters and brothers-in-law Debbie (Ray) Dover, Kenny (Debbie) Bettge, Chris (Cyndi) Bettge, and Roger (Sis) Bettge, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary and brother-in-law Rusty Wisdom, son Joshua Michael Eads, nephew Carl Wisdom, brother-in-law Richard Crowley, stepsisters Kellie Chambers & Julie Tomberlin, father-in-law David and his wife Betty Bettge, all of his aunts and uncles and several cousins, and great niece Haylei Bell. Dennis enjoyed singing, dancing, fishing, riding Harleys, boating, mowing the lawn, tinkering/working on things, collecting hot wheels, riding the golf cart, and playing with his fur babies but most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandbabies.
