Constance Hilner, 64, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at her home in Ottawa, Kansas. Cremation is planned. Graveside services and inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 10, 2014, at Highland Cemetery. Constance was born Thursday, July 6, 1950, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Ralph E. and Maggie (Clark) Raleigh. She was a near lifelong Kansas resident living in Ottawa the last thirty-five years. When she was younger she lived a short time in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She attended schools in the Pittsburgh area. Survivors include her three children, Becky Jackson, Shawn Hilner and wife Kimberly, and Patty Hilner all of Ottawa; father, Ralph E. Raleigh of Ottawa; siblings, Clara Evans of Ottawa, Debra Johns of Williamsburg, John Pearce of California, Marge Culver of Ottawa, Ralph F. Raleigh of Pomona and Barb Raleigh of Ottawa; ten grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maggie Raleigh; brother, Bill Finnigan; and sister, Mary Kay Bischoff. She worked as a supervisor with remodeling crews, specializing in weatherization, throughout Kansas. Constance had a love of music appreciating all genres, she played several instruments, the most memorable being the drums. She was an avid KC Chiefs fan, loved life and enjoyed making family and friends laugh.
