Charles "Charlie" Lamb

Charles "Charlie" Lamb, age 77, Osawatomie, Kansas, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023. Charlie was born on August 4, 1945 at Lincoln, Kansas to Charles and Julia (Davis) Lamb. He grew up in Anderson County and graduated from Garnett High School in 1963.

He was married to Mary Brown on August 2, 1964 at Garnett. They made their home in Garnett and moved to Osawatomie six months later where they continued making their home. They became the parents of two sons Rick and Steve.

Charlie worked for the City of Osawatomie helping to build their power plant. He enjoyed restoring cars for many years. His employment with the Osawatomie State Hospital spanned a total of 37 years. He worked in their maintenance department and in security. When he retired, he kept himself busy rebuilding, repairing and restoring furniture.

He was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Osawatomie where he served as a deacon.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, his son Steve, and great grandson Sutton.

He is survived by his wife Mary of the home; son Richard "Rick" Lamb (Kiris) of Kansas City, Kansas; his daughter-in-law Sherri Lamb of Shawnee; two sisters Jessie Dunlop (Ray) of Parker and Fran Carlton of Spokane, WA; 11 grandchildren Rachel Feuerborn, Cassandra Kendall, Stephanie Parenza, Heather Perry, Shane Lamb, Seth Lamb, Damian Pinkston, Coltin Lamb, Sage Lamb, Kristian Lamb, and Eva Lamb; 23 great grandchildren along with one due in August; many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Victory Baptist Church, 212 E. Main Street, Osawatomie, KS, 66064 followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Osawatomie Cemetery.
