Brett was born Sunday, July 24, 1960, in Ottawa, Kansas, the son of Squire E. and Janice L. (Smithey) Foster.

He was a lifelong carpenter working in commercial, industrial, and residential industries. Brett was a member of the Los Angeles Labors Union, the Bay Area Regional Council for Carpenters local 152, and the Laborers Union of Texas. He worked alongside his father most of his life and traveled all over the U.S. building large bridges, houses and even worked on the Raider’s stadium in California.

Brett was a history buff, a staunch republican and fought for the rights of the less fortunate. He built many wheelchair ramps pro bono for the elderly, gave all that he could to help others, and donated to several charities. Cinco, Jasper and Harley, his beloved dogs, were the light of his life and he often donated time and money to local animal shelters and the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).

Never was there a bigger Chief’s fan than Brett Alan Foster! He was overjoyed to be able to see them win multiple Super Bowls. He had a competitive nature and played softball, rode, and broke horses, and attempted to beat everyone at board games.

More than anything he loved his family and often spoke about the many wonderful memories he had with them. Brett loved God with all his heart and wanted to be remembered as a Christian who believed the most important role in a parent’s life was to teach their children about Jesus.

Brett was preceded in death by his mother Janice, sister Terri Sarkett, and brothers John Brandt and Scott Foster.
