Bill Hopkins

Bill Hopkins, age 58, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Sunday, October 31, 2010, at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa, Kansas. He was born on Sunday, January 20, 1952, in Ottawa, the son of Clyde “Hoppy” and Ann (Rutledge) Hopkins. He was a lifelong resident of Ottawa. Bill attended Ottawa High School, later earning his G.E.D. He attended Ottawa University three years. He was a truck driver. On June 25, 1976, Bill was united in marriage with Cindy Norton at Calvary Baptist Church in Ottawa. They were later divorced. Survivors include, Son,Caleb Hopkins and his companion, Kim Gulick, of Ottawa, Kansas; Son,Cody Hopkins and his wife, Emily, of Topeka, Kansas; Brother,John Hopkins of Pomona, Kansas; Sister,Judy Johnson of Pomona, Kansas; Sister,Joyce Corwin of Baldwin City, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his parents,Clyde and Ann (Rutledge) Hopkins; brother,Jackie Hopkins and a niece,Shanna Smith. SERVICES: Memorial Funeral Services will be held at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2010. IN STATE: Cremation is planned.
