Betty Louise Apple age 86, of Louisburg, KS passed away on February 1, 2017 at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas, surrounded be her loving family and friends. She was born on September 8, 1930 at Tulsa, Oklahoma the daughter of George Willard and Anna (Tranner) Goodrich. Betty was united in marriage to Nathan Towner Apple in Miami, OK on December 29, 1970. She owned and operated the Triangle Club in Shawnee, KS for many years before moving to the Louisburg area. She was a member of the Louisburg American Legion Post #250 Auxiliary. Betty was a beautiful seamstress and spent many hours repairing American flags. Her hobbies included garage sales and thrift shops, collecting angels and buying many items for others. She was kind hearted and thought of others over herself. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Nathan Apple on October 23, 1994, two brothers, Albert and Gerald Goodrich and one sister, Ruth Huckeby. Survivors include three sons, Calvin Crossley, Curt Crossley and Craig Crossley; one daughter, Janice (Kenneth) Roberts; two step-sons, Nathan L. (Sue) and Pat (Debby) Apple; seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and four step grandchildren. The family suggests contributions to the Louisburg American Legion Post #250.
