Betty Jo Moore

Betty Jo Moore, age 53, passed away peacefully while surrounded with loved ones on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at her home in Princeton, Kansas, after a courageous battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Church of the Nazarene, 633 S. Elm, Ottawa. In keeping with the COVID-19 safety protocol family will require masks to be worn. A live webcast will be on Ottawa Church of the Nazarene OCN Facebook page. OCN Facebook page link is also available on Betty’s Tribute Wall. Betty was born September 21, 1967, in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Robert Calvin and Letha Leona (Jones) Coulter. She grew up in Ottawa, moving to Burlington, Kansas where she lived for 10 years. In 2019, Betty moved to Princeton, where she made her home until her death. She attended Ottawa schools later receiving her GED. On August 10, 2004, Betty was united in marriage to Brian Moore in Burlington, Kansas. They were married nearly 17 years and were blessed with six children. Betty was a devoted homemaker, and her family and grandchildren were her pride and joy. Betty attended the Church of Christ in Burlington, and in her youth attended Calvary Baptist Church in Ottawa. Survivors include her husband Brian Moore of the home; parents Robert and Letha Coulter of Burlington; six children, Chad Coffman (Amanda) of Nebraska, Eric Moore (Tricia) of Mankato, Kansas, Shayla Befort (Kory) of Burlington, Aaron Moore (Delores) of Mankato, Amanda Stamey (Luke) of Louisiana, and James Moore II of Ottawa; four siblings, Karen Butts (Steven) of Ottawa, Robert Coulter, Billy Coulter, and Angela Coulter all of Burlington; fourteen grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
