Barbara Bruner

Barbara Jean Bruner, resident of Owasso Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, October 08, 2009, at the Sequoyah Pointe Nursing Center at the age of 73. Barbara was born February 9, 1936, at Paola, Kansas, to Damon and Betty (Moody) Spencer. She was raised and received her education at Paola. Following high school she attended Pittsburg State University at Pittsburg, Kansas. On August 25, 1957, she was united in marriage to Donald Bruner at Paola. To this union two children were born. They made their home in Moran, Kansas, before eventually establishing a home in Bartlesville where she lived until moving to Owasso two years ago. Barbara worked in customer service in the banking industry for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed playing the piano and was an excellent bridge player. She preferred the Methodist faith. Barbara is survived by her: Children " Melissa Bruner of Stillwater, OK Scott Bruner and wife Melanie of Owasso 1 Sister " Frances Winterscheid of Paola, KS 4 grandchildren " Spencer, David, Cole and Anna Claire She was preceded in death by her parents. Graveside services for Barbara will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 11, 2009, at the Paola Cemetery, Paola, Kansas, under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home of Paola Paola Cemetery, Paola KS Service: Graveside Service Sunday, October 11, 2009 2:00 PM Visitation: Saturday, October 10, 2009 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
