Adam Michael Gibson

Adam Michael Gibson, 39, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.

Family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00 pm, Friday, December 22, 2023, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Family would like to encourage everyone to wear their favorite sports memorabilia to honor Adam.

Adam was born Saturday, June 23, 1984, in Ottawa, Kansas, the son of Willis B. and Barbara (Swearingen) Gibson.

He was a lifelong Ottawa resident graduating from Ottawa High School with the class of 2003.

Adam was united in marriage in 2006 to Karin Cox. They later divorced.

He was currently employed as a foreman with Hostess Brands in Gardner, Kansas. Adam also worked for American Eagle in Ottawa as a forklift driver.

Adam was an avid sports fan following the Chiefs, KU Jayhawks, Royals, and Sporting KC. He was a fierce friend with many people and loved his family and children. Most importantly, he was a devoted father.

Survivors include parents W.B. and Barbara of the home; three children Tyler Gibson of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Charlie Gibson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Willis Gibson also of Stillwater, Oklahoma; brother Eric Gibson (September) of Olathe, Kansas; and niece and nephew Abigail and Chris Gibson.
