Acie J. Reeves, 91, of Williamsburg, Kansas passed away Friday, December 22, 2023, at Rock Creek Memory Care, Ottawa, Kansas.
Services will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa, Kansas.
Family will greet friends 5:00-7:00 pm, Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the mortuary.
Interment Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Kansas.
Acie was born Sunday, August 14, 1932 in Homewood, Kansas, the son of Edgar and Enda (Brown) Reeves.
He was a lifelong Franklin County resident living in Williamsburg since 1969.
Acie graduated from Williamsburg High School with the class of 1950.
He was united in marriage on April 27, 1952, in Princeton, Kansas, to Marjorie M. Carey. She survives of the home.
Acie was a lifelong farmer and worked for Quins Furniture in Ottawa in the 1960s, Nuzman Lumber in Ottawa in the early 1970s, Commodore Mobile Homes as a plumber in the 1970s and 1980s, and Duke Manufacturing as a machine operator before retiring in 1990.
He was a member of the Power of the Past Antique Engine and Tractor Association helping with the antique engine and tractor shows.
Acie was preceded in death by his parents; sister Doris Welch; and daughter in law Lisa Reeves.
Survivors include wife Marjorie; sons David Reeves (Gayle) of Homewood, Kansas and Eugene Reeves of Raymore, Missouri; sister Beverly Ward (Keith) of Osawatomie, Kansas; three grandchildren Jeremy Reeves of Raymore, Missouri, Ryan McFarland (Amber) of Emporia, Kansas, and Daryl McFarland (Sara) of Salina, Kansas, and four great grandchildren.
